Be the change by enjoying a simple sunrise……

“There’s always a story. It’s all stories, really. The sun coming up every day is a story. Everything’s got a story in it. Change the story, change the world.”

Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky

I personally love and am in love with sunrises!  They bring a new day, a new beginning, a new perspective, a new story!  A sunrise on a beautiful day is brilliant — It can bring tears to the eyes, and at the same time, joy to the heart.  How many times has a sunrise left you speechless?  Many  have left me in this way.

Take a moment and remember one of your favorite sunrises, where were you and what did you feel?  Mine was while I was in Lanikai earlier this month.  The picture in this blog is of that sunrise.  Breathless…..

The brilliant hues of blue and orange were beyond words of description.  I must have taken at least 50 pictures.  Each one changing so quickly — for every second of a sunrise is a new color and a new view.  Like life itself — ever changing, with its brilliance and majestic colors of our daily life.  Each second brings a new moment, and each new moment a new picture, a new story.

How fortunate we are to experience sunrises; something so simple but yet so complex at the same time; just like life itself.

I make it a point to wake up for my sunrises.  You sit or stand there in amazement of a new day, with all its wonderful colors of life, and you end up saying in gratitude, thank you — I thank each one of you, for you are as beautiful as a sunrise!

  1. Dear Nancy –

You are truley an early bird.

The only time I see a sunrise is when I wake up too early.

But can I qualify if I find peace in aunset? Or a full moon?

I live right on Lake Micigan and the snsets and the moon over the lake is breathtaking.

You probably see sunrises because you work so hard. It does give you and edge on the rest of us who are sleeping.

    • Dear BFF –

Yes I am an early bird for they catch the worms!!!

Yes of course you qualify in finding peace in a sunset and full moon!

Yes they are for I remember the experience of living on Lake Michigan and just that is enough to take your breath away!

      Who needs to sleep anyway????

      Big big love to you,
