Be the change through the Power of the Word…..
“The thought manifests as the word; The word manifests as the deed; The deed develops into habit; And habit hardens into character. So watch the thought and its ways with care, And let it spring from love. Born out of concern for all beings.” – Buddha
Have you had the chance to see the video on You Tube of the blind man begging and he has a sign that states:
“I’M BLIND PLEASE HELP”
In this video, there is a Good Samaritan with her elegant shoes that took time out of her day to change the blind man’s words and instead wrote on his sign these positive words:
“IT’S A BEAUTIFUL DAY AND I CAN’T SEE IT”
(the words “beautiful” and “see” change the attitude of the sign completely)…..
Focusing instead in the positive life affirming words can make a difference in the way we view our lives. In this lovely feel good video, the blind man wrote a plea for help – for monetary assistance. By changing his words and adding ……
“LIGHT” (SIGHT) to his words allows him to reap the benefits of the beauty of the day and it shows in the video people offering an abundance of money coming into his cup. He’s no longer blinded by his words but enriched by the givers of money that now see a sign that comes from love and abundance. This video makes a point, so now I will use my own words to expand on this subject.
HOW DO WE SPEAK?
We can say the same thing two different ways but get better results when said with “positive” words; words that are life affirming and inspirational. For me, I want to be more aware of what I speak to myself and in turn to the world. When I’m talking to people, I remind myself to: reflect about what you are about to say, and the tone you use when you say it, saying it in loving kindness.
DO YOU COME FROM A PLACE OF LOVE?
It’s the sweet essence of words that flow with true intention that color our world.
So in this video, I see a beautiful soul that was aware of herself and made a choice for being the change by reaching out to make a difference in a blind man’s world. When we are aware of the world around us and the words we create with each breath we take, then life begins to flow in this most beautiful space.
THE POWER OF THE WORD
Think of a time that you were around a negative person. Can you remember the words that were flowing from his or her mouth? Can you remember how you felt when you heard these words?
Think of a time that you were around a positive person. Can you remember the words that were flowing from his or her mouth? Can you remember how you felt when you heard these words? Awareness is key to the words we use in our everyday language.
I ask each one to do their part in being the change they want to see in this world by being more aware of the words and thoughts we process.
Let’s together hold each other accountable for the words we use in the course of the day. Let’s be aware of what comes out of our mouths with the people we interact with.
To change your world, you must change yourself…………Be the change.
Remember, may the possibilities of today excite you!
