Time – something so precious, but yet something we have so little of. When we make time for things, we nurture those things. We make time for our loved ones, we make time to eat, and we make time to sleep. When we give our friends the gift of time we say, “I want to make time for you because I care about our friendship and I value us.”

How many of us stay so busy that we don’t have time for our girlfriends? It’s so easy to get so caught up in everyday life that we don’t nurture our “friend” relationships. Maybe scheduling time for a phone conversation. I do this with my girlfriend Kelly Rudolph who is creator/founder of http://positivewomenrock.com/ we have a phone appointment every Monday morning at the same time.

I look forward to those calls and each time we leave each other inspired in some way. We allow ourselves to talk in a “confidential” environment and we validate and brainstorm about our lives. I always leave with something to think about and I know Kelly does too.

So how much extra time will it take to pick up the phone, send an email, send a note and tell your friend that they are “special” and that you are thinking of them.
