UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

Share

Oscar Wilde states, “To give and not expect return that is what lies at the heart of love.”

Can we count on one hand the friends you have that love you unconditionally?  The definition of unconditional love is a term that means to love someone regardless of the loved ones qualities or actions.  A paradigm of unconditional love is a mother’s love for her newborn.

A friendship based on unconditional love is one that flows and the beauty is that you know in your heart of hearts that this person will be there for you no matter what.  There is no judgment, no condemnation – instead with a gentle heart, a listening ear and a stream of abundant love flowing from one heart to another.

The beauty of love, the complexity of it all and at the same time the simplicity of it all!

With love flowing and may you love unconditionally,

Nancy

beautiful and true, yet HARD to practice sometimes I try so hard to practice REAL LOVE and I have found it to honestly be one of the hardest things I have ever done. When I help someone and they hurt me, my first reaction or emotion is of course to be upset with them, to feel hurt by them and maybe even betrayed by them, I tell ppl all the time that I am on a LOVE WALK, after I say that they of course look at me like I am one sandwich short of a picnic basket, but a LOVE WALK is just that to walk in LOVE, LOVE without conditions or expectations to help others and expect nothing in return, to truly LOVE is one of the hardest things I have ever done, ppl can judge you, use you, abuse you and if you truly LOVE them then you must accept that this will happen as I have found out many times, hurting ppl hurt ppl but instead of returning hurt for hurt I simply let go and move on to the next person who needs a little LOVE, I must point out that when I say abuse you I mean for money or other material things in no way does anyone ever have the right to put there hands on you or emotionally abuse you that is never ok NEVER, My ex husband was an abusive man and I do love him and forgive him but not for him for me, I choose to forgive him so I can move forward, I choose to Love him because hating him only hurts me more, we do not speak or see each other so why harbor hate in my heart??? hate is so toxic. LOVE is my drug cheesy but very true, I challenge anyone who reads this to for one day try to walk in LOVE you do not have to break your bank account to do it, say your at the grocery store and you realize the person behind you only has a few items compared to your cart full let them in front of you, or when your in the parking lot simply put your cart back even if your in a hury take the extra time to help the boy who has that job, if you notice someone is upset lets say at the gas station the clerk looks upset, so compliment them you will be surprised at how LOVING OTHERS makes you feel LOVE towards yourself, let someone out in traffic and smile as you wave them on, just smile at ppl I have been so shocked at how many ppl don't smile anymore I try to smile at everyone while looking at them in the eyes it's a wordless way of saying I understand I CARE, sometimes just listening to someone is showing LOVE, simply acts of LOVE can make you feel good about you but more important make or even change someones whole day so with this being said GO ON YOUR OWN LOVE WALK you may just surprise yourself and find out that LOVE has become your drug too :-) good luck and God Bless

Wow...I love my friends but with conditions. Just being honest here. I love my friends unconditionally for their qualities and embrace their uniqueness or quirks but their actions are very important when considering this subject matter.

I did a friendship clean-out in my early thirties when I realized that some of my friendships weren't authentic and that my energy was drained each time I was with some of them. I won't negate my part in the equation, but now that I am older I choose my friendships carefully. Is this bad?

I look for, want, and need friendships with positive energy. I look for those who are committed to continuous growth and nurturing of themselves as well as a true authentic purpose in the friendship. Quality vs. quantity has always been my motto with all things.

Am I missing something important here? Please share. I love this subject. Thank you for allowing me to share and I hope you enjoy my honesty.

xoxo
Andrea
