The dictionary states the definition of trust as; reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence.
Think about the people you trust – would you tell them all your deep thoughts and know that it won’t go any further then their own hearts? When you confide in a friend and tell them to keep it to themselves, and then you find out that they didn’t – this breaks our TRUST in them.
How would you like to be treated? If you don’t want someone to break your trust, then don’t be the one to break their TRUST. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Before talking, ask yourself – is it kind? Is it true? Will it build someone up, or tear them down? Our voices can either destroy or encourage. Isn’t it time to bond together and encourage one another, instead of throwing someone under the bus???
I believe TRUST is the start of a good friendship. Think about your friends, and the one’s you can confide in and tell them all your personal thoughts. You know that you have some you can trust, and others that will do nothing but spread gossip and rumors. Be the “friend” that someone can confide in, the one that will hold their thoughts and desires in your heart, and not on the tip of your tongue.
In Truth,
Nancy
