My Journey

I want to thank Nancy Shields for inviting me to this venue! She, along with some INCREDIBLE women from the Facebook group, The Women of Facebook, have really encouraged me, whether they know it or not, to begin my journey anew!

Since I read The Secret in 2007 I thought I was somewhat ... hmmmm ... enlightened. I thought I was living by the Laws of Attraction and doing the things that I was supposed to do to attract my Dream Life. All the while most things were staying the same in my life. I, by nature, am a happy person with a positive outlook, so this was nothing new to me. I have since learned that those beginnings were "kindergarten" compared to where I am today. I have learned that to receive a gift I need to give a gift. I have learned that I LOVE giving gifts! I have learned that I need to TRUST and BELIEVE that those gifts will come to me when I need them, and when I am ready to receive them so that I might in turn give them back to someone else who needs them more!

I have also learned it is not ALL about money. I am learning to attract money to me! Here's a funny story, a simple story. I decided I needed some new things (new to me anyway) for my closet. I'm starting this new life after being laid off from my job, so time to start a fresh new look I thought. Off I went to my local Value Village to find some new things! Keep in mind, this came after a day of shopping and finding one bargain after another ... going to the check out thinking I was going to pay full price for something only to find out it had been reduced by 75%! Well, I managed to purchase a lovely black blazer type jacket (is that what they're still called?) to round off a nicer, more professional looking wardrobe. After working a job for 2+ years where I was allowed ... RECOMMENDED ... to wear jeans to work, my closet was looking rather unprofessional! OK, long story short! I brought the jacket home, searched through the pockets, which I had for some reason NOT done at the store, and found .... dun-dun-dun ... A BRAND NEW SHINY PENNY! This thrilled me to my core and I just laughed out loud, to the point where my daughter's wondered what was wrong with me!! When I showed them the penny they didn't quite get it, but it didn't matter! I GOT IT!!

My journey is one of discovery of pennies and people and powers beyond my wildest imagination ... and other wonderful things! I am so grateful to be on this journey, and am grateful for those along the way who are blessing me, and teaching me! I am going to turn around and teach and advise in return! I could not be more excited, or happier, than I am today!! Life is good, and I am blessed!!
