A Reason, A Season, or a Lifetime

I have many friendships through the years and they have fulfilled many different needs in my life, but I've had 2 girlfriends that have been there through it all. When I was young I met Jeanne. We've been through the birth of children, divorce, dating and remarriage. She has seen and heard my tears, my ecstasy, my laughter. Later on I met Donna, who came into my life when my children were small and we raised our kids, and kept each other company when they took naps or were in school, coffee dates when we were tired of being moms. Donna has been a friend throughout my lifetime through all life's experiences. She's kept secrets for me when I needed her to and would take them to the grave to this day. I trust her with everything. While I've enjoyed my relationship with Jeanne and Donna, I also kept company and made friends with others, who fulfilled other needs. They came at a time when I needed to be out of my house, due to a bad marriage. They kept me busy with bible studies, and church functions. (God's way of making me learn his word.) Wink Wink!!! They only lasted as long as my bad marriage and then they were gone. Through my divorce, God brought me to be friends with other single women and they were wonderful and were very resourceful in teaching me how to be a single woman again.
Now I am remarried and in a good marriage and would like to meet other women who are in good relationships and I look forward to meeting them on make girlfriends.com.

I want to thank you for sharing such a beautiful testimony of friendships - you are so right in stating that they happen for a reason, a season or a lifetime. God knows exactly what to bring us at just the right time - never too late but at the exact moment; we must believe though and have the faith and it's apparent that you do!
